Socialization
Socialization has a large influence in ensuring your dog grows up to be confident and secure in themselves. What many people forget about is that socialization is a skill that is learned and must be maintained throughout a dog's entire life. One option for socialization is taking your dog to daycare once or twice a week. The benefits of a well run daycare is that your dog is not only exposed to other dogs, but a variety of breeds, personalities, and play styles. This was a big reason for opening The Dog Den and designing it in a way to best help your dog socialize in a safe way, with smaller play groups and regular breaks throughout the day to avoid over stimulating your dog.

Even though daycare can be a way to socialize your dog, it's important that it's not their only exposure to other dogs. If daycare is their only interaction with other dogs, then they can start associating other dogs with playtime, high energy activities, and high emotions. As result you may begin seeing your dog over-react anytime they see other dogs. So it's very important to create a balance by making sure that your dog also has calm socialization opportunities. To fulfill this need we now offer Socialization Sessions.
